We fix what’s there when it can be fixed. If the door or frame is too far gone, we’ll tell you up front and quote a replacement instead.

A front door replacement, start to finish
On the job in the photos below, the homeowner’s worn front door and its full-glass storm door both had to go. We took the old door and frame out down to the framing of the opening, cut out the old threshold, and set a new craftsman-style entry door with a six-pane window over two tall panels.
The result is a front entry that looks right from the porch and from inside the house. You can walk through every photo of this job in our project gallery.

Can you fix a door that sticks or won’t latch?
Usually, yes. Door adjustments, hinges and latches are everyday repairs for us. If the door or frame is too far gone to fix, we’ll tell you up front and quote a replacement instead.
Do you replace front doors?
Yes. On one recent job we replaced a worn front door and its storm door with a new craftsman-style entry door, taking the old door and frame out down to the framing. The photos are on this page.
Is door upkeep part of the Home Maintenance Membership?
